It’s holiday gift guide season again! Today I am sharing an updated list of some of my favourite eco-friendly wellness, self-care and home essentials. This is the ultimate holiday gift guide for the HealthNut / wellness junkie / yoga enthusiast / zero waste guru in your life!
I’m going to make your Christmas shopping easy and fun with affordable gifts under $25, ideas for those friends and family members who already have everything, and unique gift ideas I bet you’ve never thought of. Some of these items will not surprise you because you’ve probably heard me raving about them before… but some of these ideas are new products that I just recently fell in love with, and I know you’re going to love as well. This is quite an extensive list, so I’ve broken it up into categories to make things easier!
But first, I just want to remind you that I’m currently doing 12 Days of Giveaways over on my Instagram @urhealthnut! Head over to my feed to enter for a chance to win because I am giving away some amazing prizes that are mentioned in this post!
Protein Powder – Green Smoothies are a daily ritual in the HealthNut home and they wouldn’t be the same without my favourite protein powder! I love that the Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein Powder is organic, and made with 13 raw sprouted proteins that are easily digested, and also delicious! The vanilla flavour is my favourite because it pairs perfectly with my green smoothie, or any other delicious superfood smoothie that I might be mixing up!
Herbal Coffee & Tea – Who doesn’t love receiving a new kind of tea or coffee to try? I think this is such a thoughtful (and healthy) gift. For coffee drinkers that want to try something different, this Herbal Coffee is my go-to since I cut caffeine out a few years ago. I also have been loving this chamomile & lavender tea – it’s delicious and so relaxing to enjoy before bedtime.
Adaptogen Mushroom Lattes – I’m realizing now that I have included a LOT of cozy warm drinks and teas in this post but hey, you can’t go wrong with a superfood latté during the cold winter months, and Four Sigmatic makes the most delicious mushroom infused drinks that make a very thoughtful gift for any HealthNut on your list! My go-tos are their Golden Latte with Shiitake and Turmeric, and the Mushroom Cacao Mix with Reishi – the perfect drink to wind down with and cozy up with a Christmas movie! Click here to shop all Four Sigmatic Mushroom Elixirs and use my code: HEALTHNUT to save 10% off your purchase!
Travel Coffee Cup – This silicone reusable and collapsible coffee cup has become a favourite of mine this fall/ winter! A revolutionary design that combines flexible, food-grade silicone and food-safe, recycled materials resulting in a cup that’s collapsible and reusable for drinking on the go. I love all the pretty pastel colours it comes in, and it’s perfect for drinking coffee, tea, or even a green smoothie… definitely #healthnutapproved!
Bee Propolis Throat Spray – In the midst of holiday festivities it’s always a good idea to boost your immune system, and one of my favourites for the job (I’ve been using this for years now!) is the Beekeepers Naturals Bee Propolis Throat Spray! Propolis has incredible germ-fighting properties and even contains over 300 beneficial vitamins, minerals, and compounds—making it nature’s ultimate defender. Not only that, it also tastes amazing and is great for soothing sore throats! This is a great stocking stuffer – pick one up for yourself while you’re at it!
For The Foodie
Food Waste Caddy – Ok this may not seem like the most glamorous gift but it’s useful, cute, eco-friendly, and it’s honestly one of my favourite items of 2019 from the HealthNut Shop! What I love about it: there’s a charcoal filter so it doesn’t stink up your kitchen, the lid flips up easily if your hands are full (not hard to open), and it’s cute enough to leave on your countertop for easy use! And of course, it’s going to help you prevent a LOT of compost from ending up in the landfill so that’s a win! Check it out now over on the shop!
Food Processor – If you have a foodie in your life, this will definitely make their Christmas! A food processor is one of my kitchen essentials. I honestly use mine so often, and YES it is different than a high-speed blender! I recently upgraded to this 11 Cup KitchenAid Food Processor and it will definitely be an essential for all my holiday cooking this year.
Collagen – I’ve been using Sproos collagen for a while now, and adding a scoop into my morning cup of “joe” is by far my favourite way to enjoy it. Since making this habit, I have noticed a huge difference in my hair, skin and nails! Since it is flavourless, dissolving a scoop into your favourite morning beverage is an easy way to enjoy this supplement. Click here to shop now!

Activewear – Am I the only one who wears activewear for working out… but also for every other minute, of every hour, of every day too? When you’re like me and your average day consists of bouncing between the gym running errands shooting photos and walking your dog, it’s almost a necessity that I have high-quality and fashion-forward activewear that I can rely on to move with me when I’m on the go! Lolë creates authentic, active apparel for every day, and every season. Check out their ideas for gifts under $50, or gifts under $100! Some of my favourites from Lole that I recently picked up are the Constance Hoodie, Lainey jacket, Olivie pants, and for the man in your life this Elliot hoodie pullover is so cozy!
Yoga Pass for a Year – For anyone in your life that is stressed out and needs a little more “me” time, relaxation, and self-care in their life this is the perfect gift! It’s also a great idea to switch it up and give the gift of an experience instead of more material things – we all have at least one person in our lives who already has EVERYTHING! So instead of more things, get them a pass to Yyoga for a year of yoga classes!
Bed of Nails – I first heard about this acupressure mat from one of the girls on the HealthNut team who has been using it for a year now and raving about her results with it. This acupressure mat helps to ease tension and induce a state of deep relaxation. Bed of Nails is similar to acupuncture; the pressure of the rounded nails against the skin may help the body release endorphins, which provides a sense of joy, energy, pain relief, and oxytocin, which makes you feel calm and relaxed (yes, it is possible to feel energetic and be relaxed at the same time!). Pick up on of their acupressure pillows to go with it to make sure you get the full experience! I think this would make the perfect gift for anyone in your life that needs some deep, rejuvenating relaxation!
Essential Oils / Diffuser – Essential oils have become a huge part of my wellness routine in the past year. I have SO many diffusers around my house and I always have them running throughout the day with calming or uplifting essential oils. A diffuser is a great Christmas gift for anyone on your list, and Saje wellness has lots of beautiful options! My favourite is the uplifted days energizing diffuser kit. I also have been loving using Young Living essential oils lately, my go-to oils are lavender and orange. Lavender and orange both act as a nervine and clamative which enhance relaxation – I think we could all use a little more of that around the holidays!
Sunrise Alarm Clock – Ok this sunrise alarm clock by Philips is an essential for winter time especially. It’s so hard to wake up during this time of year when the sun doesn’t rise until after 7:30 am! This alarm clock solves the problem by gently waking you up with a personalized sunrise, plus it will also give you suggestions on how to improve your sleep space and routine based on your bedroom’s temperature, noise, light, and humidity levels. I didn’t know sleep could get that high-tech but trust me – it works really well and would be a great gift for anyone who does shift work or has to wake up really early!
Non-toxic Lipstick – Bite Beauty makes my all-time favourite non-toxic lipstick, and the holidays are the perfect time to pucker up with some bold red lips! This is a great stocking stuffer, or gift for any natural beauty junkies in your life. Click here to shop now – check out the Bite Beauty Gift Guide for more ideas!
Natural Skincare – Of course if you’ve watched any of my skincare routine videos it won’t come as a surprise that I love Luminance Skincare! Here are some of my favourite Luminance products that would make great gifts, and are under $25 each: Eye cream, Rose water toner, Nourishing serum, Green clay mask. Use the code: HEALTHNUT15 f0r 15% off your order at Luminance!
BeautyNut Skincare – A few weeks ago I launched my very own line of natural skincare products called BeautyNut Skincare! BeautyNut Skincare contains 100% natural ingredients that will nourish and protect your skin. We sold out most of our products in the first 48 hours, but there are still just a few of the sea salt + lime lip polish in stock and this is a great gift under $15 for any natural skincare enthusiasts in your life! For those asking, we hope to have the rest of the BeautyNut Skincare products back in stock in a few weeks, be sure to sign up for our HeathNut Shop Email List for updates and to be the first to know when it’s coming back!
Books – My favourite kind of books are definitely cookbooks, and self-help / self-growth books! I’d love to get into reading more fiction books in 2020 (leave your suggestions in the comments if you have any favourite fiction books that you read this year!) but here are some of my favourites of 2019: Letting Go by David R. Hawkins, Own Your Anxiety: 99 Simple Ways to Channel Your Secret Edge by Julian Brass, The HealthNut Cookbook by Nikole Goncalves (of course I had to add this one to the list)!
There you have it, that is my 2019 Holiday Gift Guide and some of my all-time favourite products that I’ve been using this year.
